Position Summary:

We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, and managing supplier relationships to support our company's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the purchasing process from requisition through delivery for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to achieve best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery.
  • Establish and monitor key procurement metrics (cost savings, supplier performance, inventory turnover).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with fabrication, engineering, finance, and logistics teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, customer specifications, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Analyze market trends and risks to optimize procurement practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience; 2+ years in a supervisory/managerial role preferred.
  • Experience in gas plant builds (valves, pipe, flanges, and fittings).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Quickbooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional certifications (such as CPM, CPSM, or CPP) are a plus.
