Primary Purpose: To manage field appraisal assignments for corporate fleets and insurance clients, specifically focusing on automobiles.
Locations Available: Syracuse, NY; Albany, NY; Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX; Albuquerque, NM; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Midland, TX; Pittsburgh, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule same-day appointments, conduct inspections within 24 hours, and provide car-side estimates.
- Complete 6 to 10 estimates per day, depending on your location.
- Ensure thorough vehicle teardown and accurately assess repair time and labor operations.
- Make precise repair/replace decisions and evaluate pre-existing damage effectively.
- Negotiate prices with shop decision makers and establish expected completion dates in line with Client Guidelines.
- Review and verify the validity of all supplement requests.
- Communicate transparently with customers about repair costs and the claims process.
- Maintain an accurate estimation of repair costs.
- Negotiate advanced fees for towing, teardown, and storage for vehicles designated as total losses.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all parties involved in the claims process.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the quality assurance team and undertake desk appraisal work when not in the field.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred, but not mandatory. Licenses and professional certifications as needed based on the role.
Experience:
- A minimum of four (4) years in the insurance or body shop industry is required.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of auto appraisals.
- Understanding of client operations and labor regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Highly skilled in negotiation and exercising good judgment.
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and work in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with CCC One is advantageous.
Work Environment:
This is a field appraisal position requiring independence in managing local territories and scheduling workdays. Responsibilities include:
- Mental: Clear thinking, excellent judgment, and ability to handle multiple priorities and work-related stress.
- Physical: Computer keyboarding and local travel.
- Auditory/Visual: Must possess hearing, vision, and verbal communication skills.
